On February 22nd Krušik is celebrating its 85th anniversary. Having stayed the course for such a long period means that our Company has resisted various challenges and put enormous effort and commitment into maintaining its position in difficult times.
Today, Krušik is a business system oriented towards development that aspires to adapt itself to increasingly strict market requirements. Improvement of technical-technological equipment, enhancement of the existing production program as well as creation and realization of new ones, modernization of production processes and investing in the education of professional staff, are the foundations Krušik focuses on in order to achieve high results in the future.
Keeping up with market needs, Krušik endeavors to offer the following items:
- 128 mm Rocket OGANJ M19 and M20, 122 mm GRAD 40 km with a trajectory correction module
- Modernized and modified mortar shells with improved performance and rocket assisted shells 210 mm HE shell
- 210 mm HE shell
- 262 mm Rocket
- Modernized rockets Malyutka 2T and Malyutka 2T5
- Warheads for drones, proximity fuzes and all kinds of primers
We consolidated ourselves financially and organizationally, enriched our personnel, and managed to overcome the challenges that arose during and after the pandemic.
In 2022, we obtained the best result in negotiating new contracts and consequently, during 2023, the positive trend was continued.
In 2023, the realization of projects has doubled compared to the previous year, and we believe that securing a profit of nearly 93 million dollars can be considered very satisfactory. For the sake of comparison, 1984 is remembered as the golden year of Krušik, when the realization reached 73 million dollars. At the time, 9,000 workers were hired for the purpose of accomplishing this level of implementation. However, more important fact is that we have succeeded in stabilizing the business atmosphere and found the strength to bring certain investment projects to completion in the last two years, because only on the basis of them will we be able to achieve concrete effects.
At the 2023 Partner Defense Exhibition, Krušik proved that it may be considered one of the best defense factories, distinguishing itself with a wide production program. The State of Serbia and the Ministry of Defense will contribute to the replacement of the old coal boilerhouse and fuel oil boilerhouse with the state-of-the-art gas boilerhouse by the end of 2024.
In the current investment cycle, Krušik received 14.5 million Euros from the Republic of Serbia, for the modernization and rise of production volume, through the increase in the production capacity of shells and rockets, the automation of the process of assembly equipment and the increase in the capacity of the foundry for casting explosives. After all the difficulties that Krušik has overcome, with the automation of lines, the modernization of equipment, the rejuvenation of the engineering staff and the optimal number of workers it strives to retain its position as the backbone of the city of Valjevo and the Republic of Serbia.
